ENG| Perve Galeria returns to AKAA – Also Known As Africa, the leading European fair dedicated to contemporary African art, taking place from 23 to 26 October 2024 at Le Carreau du Temple, in Paris, France.
At booth C2, the gallery will present artworks by Ernesto Shikhani (1934–2010, Mozambique), Reinata Sadimba (b. 1945, Mozambique), Teresa Roza d’Oliveira (1945–2019, Mozambique), Renée Gagnon (b. 1942, Canada/Portugal), and José Chambel (b. 1969, São Tomé and Príncipe), with the special participation of Algerian artist Hellal Zoubir (b. 1952).

From 15 to 19 October 2025, Perve Galeria takes part in Frieze Masters, London, in the Spotlight section with a solo project devoted to Mozambican artist Teresa Roza d’Oliveira (1945–2019). Featuring rare works from the 1960s and 1970s — many shown publicly for the first time — the presentation highlights the symbolic intensity and expressive force of a pioneering voice deeply engaged with feminist and LGBTQ+ causes. PT| No próximo dia 11 de setembro, entre as 17h e as 20h, inaugura na Perve Galeria, em Alfama, a exposição “João Artur da Silva: Obras recentes e outras histórias”. A mostra, que fica patente até 18 de outubro, reúne um conjunto inédito de obras, muitas deles apresentadas pela primeira vez, que evidenciam a vitalidade criativa de um dos mais singulares artistas portugueses do século XX e XXI. A exposição assinala também o 97.º aniversário do artista, celebrado a 5 de outubro. Não perca!

The exhibition, which runs until 18 October, brings together a unique collection of works, many of them on display for the first time, showcasing the creative vitality of one of the most singular Portuguese artists of the 20th and 21st centuries. PT| Entre 2 de setembro e 12 de outubro, estará patente na St. Julian’s School, em Carcavelos, a exposição inédita "Regresso e Desocultação de um Extraordinário Artista Ex-Aluno: João Artur da Silva", co-organizada pela Perve Galeria e a Casa da Liberdade – Mário Cesariny. Será a primeira vez, em 93 anos de história da escola, que um ex-aluno regressa ao espaço através de uma mostra da sua obra. A exposição, visitável de domingo a sexta-feira das 17h às 19h mediante marcação prévia com a Perve Galeria, reúne trabalhos inéditos, incluindo obras recentes de 2025, apresentadas pela primeira vez em Portugal, e coincide simbolicamente com o 97.º aniversário do artista, a 5 de outubro, Dia da Implantação da República. ENG| Between 2 September and 12 October, St. Julian's School in Carcavelos will host the unprecedented exhibition "Return and Unveiling of an extraordinary Alumni Artist: João Artur da Silva", co-organised by Perve Galeria and Freedom House – Mário Cesariny. It will be the first time in the school's 93-year history that a former student returns to the space through a show of his work. The exhibition, which can be visited Sunday to Friday from 5PM to 7PM by appointment, brings together previously unseen artworks, including recent ones made in 2025, presented for the first time in Portugal, and symbolically coincides with the artist's 97th birthday on 5 October, the Day of the Implantation of the Portuguese Republic. PT| Para celebrar o 97.º aniversário de João Artur da Silva – último fundador do grupo Os Surrealistas – a Perve Galeria promove um evento especial no próximo dia 5 de outubro, domingo, entre as 15:00 e as 19:00, com visita-guiada à exposição "Obras Recentes e outras Histórias" e uma sessão de criação de Cadavre-exquis ao vivo.
O ponto alto será uma videochamada em direto com o próprio João Artur da Silva, a partir do Canadá, proporcionando um momento raro de contacto e celebração com o artista.

ENG| To celebrate the 97th birthday of João Artur da Silva – the last founder of the "Os Surrealistas" group – Perve Galeria is hosting a special event on Sunday, 5 October, between 3pm and 7pm, with a guided tour of the exhibition "Recent Artworks and Other Stories" and a live Cadavre-exquis creation session.
The highlight will be a live video call with João Artur da Silva himself, from Canada, providing a rare moment of contact and celebration with the artist.
