EN| Perve Galeria is pleased to announce its participation in the next edition of 1-54 London, the leading contemporary African art fair in London, which will take place from 10 to 13 October 2024 at Somerset House. You can find us at stand EMB9, where we will pay tribute to Manuel Figueira (1938-2023, Cape Verde), marking one year since his death, by showcasing his work in dialogue with that of Mozambican masters Ernesto Shikhani (1934-2010) and Reinata Sadimba (b. 1945). 

For the first time at 1-54, we will also present a special project featuring the work of Manuela Jardim (b. 1949, Guinea-Bissau), through a site-specific installation at the Upper Embankment Central Arch . Curated by Carlos Cabral Nunes, the installation is entitled "A. Leader, since Ramses II".

A Invenção Surrealista (The Surrealist Invention) | Casa da Liberdade - Mário Cesariny | 27.08 - 21.09.2024

PT| Dando continuidade à celebração do 75.º aniversário da 1.ª Exposição d'Os Surrealistas em Portugal, cuja exposição patente na Perve Galeria se tem revelado um ponto de encontro imprescindível entre o público e as obras dos artistas que tornaram Portugal num dos pontos de referência para o movimento Surrealista internacional, a partir dos anos 1940/1950, inaugura no próximo dia 27 de agosto, a partir das 17h, a mostra «A Invenção Surrealista», que terá lugar na Casa da Liberdade - Mário Cesariny. Nesta exposição o público poderá ver algumas obras inéditas daqueles que foram os artistas da reinvenção e da espontaneidade surrealista em Portugal.

ENG| Continuing the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the 1st exhibition of The Surrealists in Portugal, whose exhibition at Perve Galeria has proved to be an essential meeting point between the public and the artworks of the artists who made Portugal one of the reference points for the international Surrealist movement, from the 1940s/1950s onwards, the exhibition "The Surrealist Invention" will open on August 27 from 5pm at Freedom House - Mário Cesariny. The public will be able to see some nver-shown before artworks by those who were the artists of the reinvention and spontaneity of surrealism in Portugal.

VOLTA New York | Chelsea Industrial | 4 - 8.09.2024

PT| A Perve Galeria tem o prazer de anunciar a sua presença na feira de arte VOLTA New York. De 4 a 8 de setembro de 2024, poderá encontrar-nos no Chelsea Industrial, W 28th St New York, no Stand 16, onde apresentaremos em exposição artistas como Carlos Zíngaro (1948, Portugal), João Donato (1953, Moçambique), Mariano Cinat (Argentina/EUA) e Reinata Sadimba (1945, Moçambique). 

Estaremos também no Ukrainian Pavilion, com uma exposição especial do artista Bogdan Gulyay (1980, Ucrânia), que promete lembrar-nos daquele país que continua a sobreviver e a resistir porque continua ainda a haver guerra na Europa.

From September 4th to 8th 2024, you may find us at Chelsea Industrial, W 28th St New York, at Booth 16, where we will be showcasing artists such as Carlos Zíngaro (1948, Portugal), João Donato (1953, Mozambique), Mariano Cinat (Argentina/USA) and Reinata Sadimba (1945, Mozambique). 

You will also find us at the Ukrainian Pavilion, with a special exhibition by the artist Bogdan Gulyay (1980, Ukraine), that reminds us of that one country, still surviving and resisting, for there is still war in Europe.
