Lusofilia Feminina | aPGn2 Alcântara | 17.05.2025 - 28.06.2025
ENG| The exhibition "Feminie Lusophilia", on show at aPGn2 – Alcântara, highlights the work of women artists within the Lusophone context. Anticipating the 50th anniversary of African liberation movements, it denounces the historical erasure of women’s roles in these processes and in the art world. Featuring works by Reinata Sadimba (1945, Mozambique), Teresa Roza d'Oliveira (1945–2019, Mozambique), and Renée Gagnon (1942, Canada), the exhibition offers a critical reflection on female underrepresentation and calls for a more inclusive approach to art and collective memory.
The exhibition will be on display until June 28th.
PT| A exposição "Lusofilia Feminina", patente na aPGn2 - Alcântara, destaca o trabalho de mulheres artistas no contexto lusófono. Antecipando os 50 anos dos movimentos de libertação africanos, denuncia o apagamento histórico das mulheres nesses processos e no meio artístico. Com obras de Reinata Sadimba (1945, Moçambique), Teresa Roza d'Oliveira (1945-2019, Moçambique) e Renée Gagnon (1942, Canadá), a mostra promove uma reflexão crítica sobre a sub-representação feminina e propõe um olhar mais inclusivo na arte e na memória coletiva.
A exposição estará patente até ao dia 28 de junho.

VOLTA Basel | Messeplatz | 18 - 22.06.2025
ENG| Perve Galeria is excited to confirm its participation in VOLTA Basel 2025, making this its second appearance at one of the most important international contemporary art fairs on the Art Basel parallel circuit. From June 18th to June 22nd, you can visit us at booth A07 at the Messeplatz, in Basel, Switzerland, where works by Renée Gagnon (b. 1942, Canada/Portugal), Reinata Sadimba (b. 1945, Mozambique) and Marya Al Qassimi (b. 1993, United Arab Emirates) will be on display. Their diverse practices are complemented by the inclusion of special guest artist Tor Seidel (Germany).
PT| É com entusiasmo que a Perve Galeria confirma a sua participação na VOLTA Basel 2025, marcando a sua segunda presença nesta que é uma das feiras internacionais de arte contemporânea mais relevantes do circuito paralelo à Art Basel. De 18 a 22 de junho, poderá visitar-nos no stand A07 na Messeplatz, na Basileia, Suíça, onde estarão em exposição obras de Renée Gagnon (n. 1942, Canadá/Portugal), Reinata Sadimba (n. 1945, Moçambique) e Marya Al Qassimi (n. 1993, Emirados Árabes Unidos). As suas práticas são complementadas pela inclusão do artista convidado especial Tor Seidel (Alemanha).

Our third participation, which included the exhibition of works by João Artur da Silva, Reinata Sadimba and Renée Gagnon, was marked by unforgettable moments, including the visit of the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, to our stand and the presence of Renée Gagnon, who enriched the experience of all the visitors who had the opportunity to talk to the artist.

ENG| Perve Galeria is pleased to announce its presence at ARCOlisboa, in what will be its third participation in one of the most important contemporary art fairs held in Portugal. You can find the gallery at stand M01, between May 30 and June 1, at Cordoaria Nacional, where artworks by João Artur da Silva (b. 1928, Portugal/England/Canada), Reinata Sadimba (b. 1945, Mozambique) and Renée Gagnon (b. 1942, Canada/Portugal) will be presented.

50 - Independentes / Independents | Casa da Liberdade - Mário Cesariny & Perve Galeria | 12.07 - 23.08.2025
PT| No dia 12 de julho, entre as 17h e as 20h, a Perve Galeria e a Casa da Liberdade – Mário Cesariny inauguram a exposição "50 - Independentes: Arte e Liberdade nos Países Africanos de Língua Portuguesa". Assinalando os 50 anos das independências de Angola, Cabo Verde, Guiné-Bissau, Moçambique e São Tomé e Príncipe, a mostra reúne 50 artistas e convida à reflexão sobre a história partilhada e a riqueza das expressões culturais destes países.
A inauguração decorre simbolicamente no dia em que se celebra a independência de São Tomé e Príncipe. Patente até 23 de agosto, a exposição apresenta obras da Coleção Lusofonias, criada em 1998 para valorizar a produção artística do mundo lusófono e das suas diásporas. Não perca!
ENG| On July 12, from 5pm to 8pm, Perve Galeria and Freedom House – Mário Cesariny open the exhibition "50 - Independents: Art and Freedom in Portuguese-Speaking African Countries". Marking the 50th anniversary of the independence of Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, and São Tomé and Príncipe, the show brings together 50 artists to reflect on shared histories and the rich diversity of cultural expression across these nations.
Opening symbolically on the day São Tomé and Príncipe gained independence, the exhibition runs until August 23 and features works from the Lusophonies Collection, established in 1998 to highlight artistic production across the Lusophone world and its diasporas. Don't miss it!
