PT | A Perve Galeria apresenta na 7ª edição da maior feira de arte africana em França - AKAA (Also Known As Africa) - uma seleção de obras de importantes artistas, como Alberto Chissano, um dos mais importantes escultores moçambicanos da sua geração, Bertina Lopes, artista cujo trabalho foi apresentado este ano numa exposição individual em Roma na galeria Richard Saltoun, Ernesto Shikhani e Malangatana Ngwenya, autores recentemente integrados na colecção do Centro Georges Pompidou com obras de arte da Perve Galeria.
No campo da fotografia destacamos a presença de José Chambel, artista apresentado no VIP Lounge do AKAA 2021, com a sua mais recente série intitulada "Le Ministre" e Ricardo Rangel, autor considerado o pai da fotografia documental e artística dos países africanos de língua oficial portuguesa.
A mostra inclui também duas grandes mestres, ambas moçambicanas, dos anos 1940 - Reinata Sadimba e Teresa Roza d'Oliveira. Também presentes no VIP Lounge do AKAA 2022, dão a conhecer num contexto internacional, num diálogo sem precedentes entre a cerâmica e a pintura, o panorama artístico africano contemporâneo e o importante papel dos artistas e especialmente das mulheres, na luta pelos direitos do género.
A este grupo de artistas representativos da arte africana contemporânea, Perve Galeria apresenta, pela primeira vez em Paris, a revelação internacional de um mestre moçambicano cuja obra de arte caiu num esquecimento inexplicável e que, felizmente, está a ser recuperada recentemente, através de um documentário, "Pintor Independente", realizado por Diogo Varela Silva, exibido no Doclisboa, e uma exposição na ZDB. João Ayres.
O projecto consiste na criação de um diálogo entre vários autores da colecção de Lusofonias, com uma presença feminina relevante e numa linguagem ligada a novas e diversas formas de criação figurativa. O conceito consiste em revelar um panorama da diversidade no panorama artístico africano contemporâneo.
EN | Perve Galeria presents at the 7th edition of the largest African art fair in France - AKAA (Also Known As Africa) - a selection of artworks by important artists, such as Alberto Chissano, one of the most important Mozambican sculptors of his generation, Bertina Lopes, artist whose work was featured this year in a solo exhibition in Rome at the Richard Saltoun gallery, Ernesto Shikhani and Malangatana Ngwenya, authors recently integrated in the collection of the Georges Pompidou Centre with artworks from Perve Galeria.
In the field of photography we highlight the presence of José Chambel, artist featured in the VIP Lounge of AKAA 2021, with his most recent series entitled "Le Ministre" and Ricardo Rangel, author considered the father of documentary and artistic photography of the Portuguese-speaking African countries.
The show also includes two great masters, both Mozambican, from the 1940's - Reinata Sadimba and Teresa Roza d'Oliveira. Also featured in the VIP Lounge at AKAA 2022, they make known in an international context, in an unprecedented dialogue between ceramics and painting, the contemporary African artistic panorama and the important role of artists and especially women, in the fight for gender rights.
To this group of representative artists of contemporary African art, Perve Galeria presents, for the first time in Paris, the international revelation of a Mozambican master whose artwork has fallen into an inexplicable oblivion and who, fortunately, is being recovered recently, through a documentary film, "Independent Painter", directed by Diogo Varela Silva, shown at Doclisboa, and a show at ZDB. João Ayres.
The project consists in creating a dialogue between several authors from the Lusophonies collection, with a relevant female presence and in a language linked to new and diverse forms of figurative creation. The concept is to reveal a panorama of diversity in the contemporary African artistic panorama.

PT | Entre os dias 21 e 23 de outubro, a Perve Galeria regressa à maior feira de arte africana em França, AKAA - Also Known As Africa, no Carreau du Temple, em Paris, para apresentar, no stand C4, a obra plástica dos artistas Alberto Chissano (1935-1994, Moçambique), Bertina Lopes (1924-2012, Moçambique), Ernesto Shikhani (1934-2010, Moçambique), José Chambel (n. 1969, São Tomé e Príncipe), Malangatana Ngwenya (1936-2011, Moçambique) e Ricardo Rangel (1924-2009, Moçambique).
Temos também o prazer de anunciar que, pelo 2.º ano consecutivo, a Perve Galeria foi a selecionada para expor no VIP Lounge C6, com um projeto curatorial inédito de diálogo entre duas importantes mestres moçambicanas - Teresa Roza d'Oliveira (1945-2019, Moçambique) e Reinata Sadimba (n. 1945, Moçambique).

We are also pleased to announce that for the 2nd consecutive year, Perve Galeria has been selected to exhibit at VIP Lounge C6, with an unprecedented curatorial project of dialogue between two important Mozambican masters - Teresa Roza d'Oliveira (1945 - 2019, Mozambique) and Reinata Sadimba (b. 1945, Mozambique).

PT| Na passada quinta-feira, dia 24 de novembro, a Perve Galeria foi surpreendida com a atribuição do prémio de melhor stand na FIG - Festival Internacional da Impressão e Arte sobre Papel, no Palácio Euskalduna, em Bilbau. Esta distinção, atribuída pela primeira vez a uma galeria portuguesa naquela que é das mais importantes e históricas feiras de arte em Espanha, aconteceu antes da inauguração VIP.
O júri, composto por Daniel Vega (Diretor de produção de exposições do Museu Guggenheim), Javier Novo (Coordenador da Área de Conservação e Investigação do Museu de Belas Artes de Bilbao) e María Luisa Barrio (Responsável pelo Património Histórico-Artístico do BBVA), «decidiu por unanimidade e sem quaisquer dúvidas, que o stand da Perve Galeria é o que melhor representa o que a feira é e pretende ser».
Em declarações prestadas, María Luisa Barrio, refere ainda que a premiação da galeria portuguesa deve-se ao culminar de «esforço, variedade de artistas apresentados, técnicas, desenho do stand e a aposta na internacionalização da obra sobre papel».
ENG| On Thursday morning, November 24th, Perve Galeria was surprised by the awarding of the prize for best booth at FIG - International Print and Art on Paper Fair, at the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao. This distinction, assigned for the first time to a Portuguese gallery in one of the most important and historical art fairs in Spain, took place before the VIP opening.
The jury, formed by Daniel Vega (Director of Exhibition Production at the Guggenheim Museum), Javier Novo (Coordinator of the Conservation and Research Area of the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum) and María Luisa Barrio (Head of Historic-Artistic Heritage at BBVA), «unanimously and with no doubts decided that the Perve Galeria’s booth is the one that best represents what the fair is and wants to be»
María Luisa Barrio also said that the award from the Portuguese gallery is the culmination of «the effort, the variety of artists presented, the techniques, the design of the booth and the commitment to the internationalisation of the artwork on paper».

De 24 a 27 de novembro, a Perve Galeria participa na 11ª edição da FIG Bilbao - Feira Internacional de Gravura e Arte sobre Papel, que estará patente no Stand E21 no Palácio Euskalduna em Bilbau, Espanha.
Com curadoria de Carlos Cabral Nunes, a mostra reúne a obra de três artistas contemporâneos do campo da fotografia, José Chambel (1969, São Tomé e Príncipe), artista apresentado no VIP Lounge da feira de arte de Paris AKAA 2021, com a sua mais recente série intitulada "Le Ministre", José Eduardo Agualusa (1960, Angola), notável escritor e jornalista contemporâneo que apresenta a sua obra fotográfica num contexto internacional, e Bogdan Gulyay (1980, Ucrânia), artista que vive e trabalha atualmente em Kiev, cuja obra integrará uma homenagem ao seu país neste tempo de guerra.
A mostra conta também com uma seleção de livros-objeto artísticos, serigrafias e outras obras gráficas da autoria de diferentes autores e mestres do panorama artístico português e da diáspora, como Joana Vasconcelos (1971, França/Portugal), Pedro Cabrita Reis (1956, Portugal), Alfredo Luz (1951, Portugal), Cruzeiro Seixas (1920-2020, Portugal), Mário Cesariny (1923-2006, Portugal), entre outros.

From the 24th to the 27th of November, Perve Galeria takes part in the 11th edition of FIG Bilbao - International Printmaking and Art on Paper Fair, which will be held at the Stand E21 at the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao, Spain.
Curated by Carlos Cabral Nunes, the exhibition brings together the artwork of three contemporary artists in the field of photography, José Chambel (1969, São Tomé and Príncipe), artist presented in the VIP Lounge of the Paris art fair AKAA 2021, with his most recent series entitled "Le Ministre", José Eduardo Agualusa (1960, Angola), remarkable contemporary writer and journalist who presents for the first time his photographic artwork in an international context, and Bogdan Gulyay (1980, Ukraine), an artist who currently lives and works in Kiev, whose artwork will integrate a tribute to his country in this time of war.
The exhibition also includes a selection of artistic object-books, silkscreens and other graphic artworks by different authors and masters from the Portuguese art scene and the diaspora, such as Joana Vasconcelos (1971, France/Portugal), Pedro Cabrita Reis (1956, Portugal), Alfredo Luz (1951, Portugal), Cruzeiro Seixas (1920-2020, Portugal), Mário Cesariny (1923-2006, Portugal), among others.

Após 2 anos de pandemia que adiaram a realização da feira de arte contemporânea desde 2020, a JustLX acontece este ano durante a Lisbon Art Weekend no Centro de Congresso de Lisboa, espaço privilegiado da cidade, perto de Belém.
O projeto expositivo da Perve Galeria estabelece um diálogo entre mestres e artistas das novas figurações que representam do panorama artístico português, africano e latino-americano, através de uma seleção exclusiva de obras, nunca antes apresentadas a público, da autoria de Figueiredo Sobral (1926-2010, Portugal), Ivan Villalobos (n. 1975, Chile), Javier Félix (n. 1976, Colômbia/Espanha), Reinata Sadimba (n. 1945, Moçambique) e Teresa Balté (n. 1942, Portugal).

From May 19 to 22 Perve Galeria will be on exhibition at JustLX in Lisbon. After 2 years of pandemic that postponed the holding of the contemporary art fair from 2020, JustLX takes place this year during the Lisbon Art Weekend at the Lisbon Congress Centre, a prime space in the city, near Belém.
The exhibition project by Perve Galeria establishes a dialogue between masters and artists of the new figuration representing the Portuguese, African and Latin American artistic panorama, through an exclusive selection of artworks, never before presented to the public, by Figueiredo Sobral (1926-2010, Portugal), Ivan Villalobos (b. 1975, Chile), Javier Félix (b. 1976, Colombia/Spain), Reinata Sadimba (b. 1945, Mozambique) and Teresa Balté (b. 1942, Portugal).
