There were 428 works from producers, designers, and universities students from 26 European countries. An International Jury hosted by the teacher Peter A. Bruck nominated the 29 final works.

Collective exhibition of Modern Art “Razões de Existir II” commemorating the 2nd anniversary of Perve´s Gallery – Art and Multimedia, artistically represented by Abílio Febra, Albino Moura, Artur Bual, Cabral Nunes, Cláudia Lima, Cruzeiro Seixas, Gracinda de Sousa, Luís Tavares, Mário Botas, Mito, Nuno Espinho and Raul Perez. The behind curtain of meeting and loosing through a rich path for hopes and existing beliefs of desireful emotions. They speak with poetry and melody, in just one voice and just one gesture, touching pictorial and different aesthetical paths but, in the end, they speak about true common memories.

Collective exhibition of Modern Art “5+2=3”, in Perve´s Gallery – Art and Multimedia, from 13th October to 23th November, with Painting, Sculpture, Photography and Ceramics by Alberto Cedrón (Argentina), Cabral Nunes (Portugal), Catarina Bizarro (Portugal), Fernando Grade (Portugal), Isabella Carvalho (Brasil), Manuel Seita (Portugal) and Vítor Pi (Portugal).
Arts from Argentina, Brasil and Portugal meeting each other in this space, communicating within the same will – preserving very own identities in a global artistic world and revealing the possibility of harmony between aesthetic distinct realities.

Collective exhibition of Modern Art “Sulcos (roxos) do olhar” – arts in feminine in Perve’s Gallery – Art and Multimedia, from 2nd June to 14th July, with paintings by Gracinda de Sousa (Portugal), Isabella Breves (Brasil), Irene Gomes (Portugal), Márcia (Mozambique), Pilar Martin (Portugal), Suzanna Lidegran (Portugal), sculptures by Cláudia Lima (Brazil), ceramics by Reinata (Mozambique) and artistic jewellery by Vanda Guerreiro (Portugal).
The main objective of this exhibition was the popularization of contemporary art in the feminine. We are deeply interested in new ways of artistic expression, giving prominence to countries of Portuguese expression, pointing out the different approaches of the same reality and sharing it with the public.

The concept of this exhibition is the interaction between artistic languages, including new technologies, keeping a normal and non-linear narrative, where Cabral Nunes seeks new artistic territories. Simultaneously to the inauguration of this exhibition the Perve´s Non-Profit Association commemorate 5 years of existence.

This exhibition had works from Andreas Treske, Artur Bual, Beatriz Cunha, Cabral Nunes, Cruzeiro Seixas, Fernando Grade, Gracinda de Sousa, Ídasse, Luís Feito, Mário Cesariny, Nuno Cunha, Pilar Martin and Vitor Pi.
Along with the opening there was a poetic meeting with the presence of Conceição Baleizão, Feliciano do Mira, Fernando Grade, Luís Carlos Patraquim, Mário Cesariny, Vitor Pi, among others.

During two months there was a cultural interchanging with Mozambican Association “Arts Centre” with particular exhibitions from Mozambican artist Idasse. The 1st Idasse´s exhibition was in the Perve´s Gallery – Art and Multimedia in January 2001.

Opening of “Perve´s Gallery of Art and Multimedia” (R. Escolas Gerais nº19) with the collective exhibition “Eye’s World” with works from: Mozambique (Ídasse, Miro, Tomo, Márcia – Drawing and Painting – Chissano, Reinata, Ndlozy, Nhate, Valingue – Sculpture) Portuguese (Artur Bual, Fernando Grade, Vítor Pi, Gracinda de Sousa – Drawing and Painting – Marco Brás and Beatriz Cunha - Sculpture) and Cape Vert (Mito – Painting). There were available iMac computers with some of the multimedia applications made by the Association and Cd´s – Rom with artistic contents produced by similar Associations.

Organization of the “Graphic Art – 1st Serigraphy Showroom” in Leiria from 1st to 15th July. There were represented the most prestige Portuguese Ateliers in artistic serigraphy, as: António Inverno´s Atelier, António Moreira´s Atelier, Jorge Bastos´s Atelier, Portuguese Centre of Serigraphy, António Palmeira, Paleta Gallery (Lisbon), and Gallery 57 (Leiria). Sponsored by the Municipal Council of Leiria. This year the exhibitions rooms were in the Building of the Bank of Portugal, Municipal Library, District Archive of Leiria, Leiria´s Castle, Gallery 57. There were also Courses, Conferences and activities in the Institute of Portuguese Youth. In the exhibitions rooms there were also multimedia applications of artistic contents that could be visualized in iMac (Apple) computers.

Production and Development of contents – Prototype of the Cd-Rom “Trilogia com Artur Bual”. Final prototype of the interactive multimedia application about the life and work of the painter Artur Bual. Organized around three concepts: Love, Lightness and Calmlessness. The main purpose is to show the life and work of the plastic artist Artur Bual through an interactive travelling over his artistic/plastic universe from painting, three-dimensional animation, landscape animations, video, music, poetry, interactive interviews and biographical information.

1999/2001
Production and Development of a prototype of an interactive multimedia application in Cd-Rom “Noma Kan Djan – Art in Mozambique”. The main purposes are the presentation of the Mozambican Arts, their authors and the curiosities of the country. The application became an interactive encyclopaedia, with biannual actualisations, about the Mozambican artists. Perve´s Multimedia Collective collected in Maputo the application contents from September to October 1999.

Co-production of the show “Pêtu” – Dance Company “Raíz di Pólon” – Hannover, multimedia area. Debuted in November 1999 in “Danças na Cidade”, the shown version will be a recreation using computing equipments.

Planning of the artistic Cooperation between the Association and Mozambican government to build an Academy of Arts and the interchanging of Portuguese and Mozambican artists, and also the diffusion and distribution of the interactive encyclopaedia in Cd-Rom “Noma Kan Djan – Art in Mozambique”. This protocol will involve Portuguese artists from all over the country.

Protocol with the Dance Company “Raiz di Pólon” from Cape Vert to co-produce shows and their itinerancies, documentaries about the dance company and about Cape Vert artistic Scene.
